For over twenty years,
Niemeyer, Alexander, Austin & Phillips, P.C.
has been providing its clients with legal
representation at the highest level of service and
ethics. The firm was originally founded in 1984,
and has been at its present location in Downtown
Oklahoma City since that time. Since its inception,
the Firm’s principal aim has been to provide its
clients with exceptional legal services at
extremely competitive rates.
A "boutique" law firm, we pride ourselves in our
expertise in trial practice. The Firm’s practice is
diverse and concentrates in civil litigation in all
of its phases, from pre-filing negotiations through
appeals. Although certainly not exhaustive, the
subject matter of litigation regularly handled by
the firm ranges from personal injury and product
liability, to insurance coverage and declaratory
judgment actions, and from employment law to
commercial litigation.
All attorneys of the Firm are licensed to practice
law in Oklahoma’s state and federal courts. The
Firm’s attorneys may also be licensed to practice
law in Texas, and in the United States district and
appellate courts of other jurisdictions.
The Firm litigates cases throughout Oklahoma, as
well as in the States of Arkansas, Arizona,
Colorado, Kansas, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas. The
Firm’s attorneys have conducted hundreds of jury
trials since the Firm’s formation.
The Firm’s offices are located at Three Hundred
North Walker, in downtown Oklahoma City.

The firm's senior partner, John C. Niemeyer has over forty years of experience in trial practice. He has tried hundreds of cases to jury verdict in both state and federal courts across the country, including trials in Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Nevada, as well as in Oklahoma.
John C. Niemeyer earned his Bachelor of
Business Administration from Texas A.
& M. in 1957, where he was a member
of the Corp of Cadets.
After serving his country in the Army, he
attended Southern Methodist University,
where he earned his Juris Doctorate in
1962.
Mr. Niemeyer was admitted, on
examination, in both Texas and Oklahoma
in 1962. He has been a member of the bar
of Texas and Oklahoma since his admission
to practice in those states.
From 1962 to 1984, he practiced law in
the firm of Foliart, Mills & Niemeyer
in Oklahoma City. In 1984 Mr. Niemeyer
founded the firm, which has been in
existence in Oklahoma City for over
twenty years.
In addition to his admission to the bars
of Oklahoma and Texas, Mr. Niemeyer is a
member of the bar of the Muscogee (Creek)
Tribal Court. He is a member of the bars
of the United States Supreme Court, the
Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the
Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is
licensed to practice before the United
States District Courts for the Eastern,
Western and Northern Districts of
Oklahoma, the United States District
Court for the Northern District of Texas
and the District of Colorado.
He is a member of the Oklahoma County,
Oklahoma and American Bar Associations,
the State Bar of Texas, the Oklahoma
Trial Lawyers Association and the
Association of Trial Lawyers of
America.
In conjunction with his partner, Mr.
Niemeyer is author of the Oklahoma
Chapters of the Aspen Publications' Tort
Law Desk Reference and Product Liability
Desk Reference. Mr. Niemeyer serves as
regional counsel for Bridgestone
Firestone North American Tire LLC, and is
a member of the Regional Trial Counsel
Network, a network of separate and
independent law firms located in key
geographic regions throughout the United
States.
Linda G. Alexander has been a partner in the Firm since its establishment in 1984. She has been practicing law for over a quarter of a century. In addition to practicing law, she has been an instructor at the Oklahoma City University School of Law. Along with her partner, John C. Niemeyer, she is a contributing editor to several of the Aspen publication "Desk Reference" series.
In 1975 she earned a Bachelor of Arts
degree in government and philosophy, with
honors, from George Mason
University. In 1978, she received
her Juris Doctor degree from The
University of Oklahoma.
Ms. Alexander is admitted to practice in
all state courts in Oklahoma, as well as
in the United States District Courts for
the Western, Eastern and Northern
Districts of Oklahoma. In addition,
she is admitted to the United States
Supreme Court, the United States Courts
of Appeals for the Fifth, Eighth, and
Seventh and Tenth Circuits. She is
also admitted to practice before the
Muscogee (Creek) Tribal Court.
In addition to her concentration in trial
practice, she is an experienced appellate
advocate, having practiced in both state
and federal appeals courts.
She is a member of the Oklahoma County,
Oklahoma and American Bar Associations,
the Muscogee(Creek) Bar Association, the
Defense Research Institute and The
Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association.
She supports the pro bono work of Legal
Aid Services of Oklahoma, Inc. and
Lawyers for Children, and her civil
activities have included service on the
Board of Directors of the Oklahoma
Philharmonic Society and lifetime
membership in the Oklahoma City Orchestra
League.
Mr. Austin graduated from the University of Oklahoma, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976. Mr. Austin commenced his legal career with the firm while still a law student at the Oklahoma City University School of Law, as a law clerk. He then obtained his limited license to practice law as a licensed legal intern in Oklahoma before graduating from Oklahoma City University Law School in 1988. While at Oklahoma City University Law School, he served as a staff editor to the Oklahoma City University Law Review.
During his legal career, Mr. Austin has
concentrated his practice in the area of
civil litigation, representing both
plaintiffs and defendants.
Mr. Austin is a member of the Oklahoma
County and Oklahoma Bar Associations. He
has participated as a coach of the
Okarche High School Mock Trial team in
the Oklahoma Bar Foundation Mock Trial
Program.
He practices in all Oklahoma State Courts
as well as the United States District
Courts for the Western, Eastern and
Northern Districts of Oklahoma.
Harris A. Phillips, III, graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1988. He received his Juris Doctor with Honors from the University of Oklahoma in 1991.
Mr. Phillips is admitted to practice
before all Oklahoma State Courts, the
U.S. District Courts for the Eastern,
Northern and Western Districts of
Oklahoma, and the U.S.. Court of Appeals
for the Seventh and Tenth Circuits.
Mr. Phillips is a member of the Cleveland
and Oklahoma County, the Oklahoma and the
American Bar Associations.
Stephen A. Dotter brings with him to the practice of law extensive, "hands on" business experience. From 1984 through 1993, he was a managing partner of the Merritt Sonic Restaurants Franchise in New Mexico.
In 1995, he earned his Bachelor of Arts
in Political Science, graduating Magna
Cum Laude, from the University of New
Mexico.
While attending the Oklahoma City
University School of Law, Mr. Dotter was
a member of the Hand Inn of Phi Delta Phi
Legal Fraternity. He received his Juris
Doctor degree and was admitted to
practice in the state of Oklahoma in
1998. Mr. Dotter is also admitted to
practice in the United States District
Courts of the Western, Northern and
Eastern Districts of Oklahoma.
Mr. Dotter concentrates his practice in
the area of civil litigation,
representing both plaintiffs and
defendants.
He is a member of the Oklahoma County and
Oklahoma State Bar Associations, and has
donated his time to the representation of
children through the organization,
Lawyers for Children.
Charles A. Dickson, III, is a 1994 graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 1999, he received his Juris Doctor degree from The Oklahoma City University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Dickson was a member of the Moot Court Honors Board for the years 1997-1999.
Prior to his admission in 1999, Mr.
Dickson gained valuable legal experience
as a Law Clerk and Licensed Legal Intern
working for the firm.
Mr. Dickson’s practice is comprised of
civil litigation, including product
liability claims, personal injury claims,
insurance disputes, and employment
claims. Mr. Dickson joins the firm in
representing pro bono clients through
Legal Aid of Oklahoma and Lawyers for
Children.
Mr. Dickson is admitted to practice
before all Oklahoma State Courts, the
U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th
Circuit, the U.S. District Courts for the
Western District of Oklahoma, Northern
District of Oklahoma, Eastern District of
Oklahoma. He is a member of the Oklahoma,
Oklahoma County, and American Bar
Associations.
Stephen W. Sasser attended Howard Junior College in Big Springs Texas while working as a Police Officer for the City of Big Spring, graduating with honors with an Associates of Science in 1992. Mr. Sasser furthered his education at the University of Texas-Permian Basin where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Psychology, graduating with honors in 1994.
Mr. Sasser received a Juris Doctorate
degree from Oklahoma City University in
2003. Mr. Sasser began his
association with the Firm during his
first semester of law school as a law
clerk and later as a licensed legal
intern, while attending Oklahoma City
University. Mr. Sasser is admitted
to practice in the State of Oklahoma and
the United States District Courts for the
Eastern and Western Districts of
Oklahoma. He is a member of the
Oklahoma Bar Association and the Oklahoma
County Bar Association.
